The Good Men Project
A Writing Collective
About The Project
The Good Men Project is a four-pronged effort to build and sustain a national discussion about being good fathers, sons, husbands, and workers. The project comprises a book, a film, a charity, and a network of on-line forums.
The Good Men Project: Real Stories from the Front Lines of Modern Manhood is a collection of 31 essays in which the authors describe their defining challenges, losses or triumphs. Similarly, in The Good Men Project film, ten men from varied backgrounds share with viewers their life-altering experiences.
The book and a DVD of the film will be released this fall.
All proceeds from sales of the book and the DVD will support the Good Men Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(3)(c) corporation supporting organizations that help men and boys at risk.
To further expand the conversation about what it means to be a good man, The Good Men Project has built a comprehensive social media network that includes a blog, a Facebook fan page, a YouTube channel, a Flickr stream, and a Twitter stream.
